So much has happened since I last wrote in here. I've been really slack with keeping it up to date, partly due to laziness and partly due to the fact that I've actually been pretty busy. My essays got handed in but the quality of them was disgustingly poor. I haven't even bothered picking up my results yet because I just know it's going to ruin my summer if I do. I went to Barcelona with Rupe, my dad and brothers and it was so amazing. We met some of my Honduran family out there and just had a really nice time relaxing, sightseeing and spending proper time together. I think I ate my own weight in paella. ( Read more... ) |

I played my first ever gig tonight! We played 2 songs at a Pavement cover night & it was REALLY fun. I was super nervous as i've never actually played in front of a crowd before but it went pretty well & we all enjoyed it.
I'll post photo's once Rupe's got them to me.
Back to the same routine soon. |

Hey Kelly, It was great to meet you. We would love love love to offer you an internship. You can start in June right? Let me know your preferred start and end date and lets get this nailed. By the way, think we have to wait a year before the Watchmen film comes out but they have released character profiles in Empire... Speak soon. Lauren x |

Red House Painters are so wonderful.

Download "Red House Painters" Music
Complimentary "Michigan" Ringtone
I see through your thin cotton dress I don't know if we'll get dressed So pull by that store parking lot You know I've missed your lots Warn me of the cans and knots I don't need a house in Lake Michigan I don't need a purpose to plan within I just want to feel your pulse again Down town the exits just around Can't you smell our future good and well? I'll take you upstairs show you my bed and things Share all my thoughts and cares Here is my heart here is my soul You pushed me past my lonely door You are my everything September a time of in betweens Lazy month of nothing All rainy gutters rushing They're all true All the good things you say Will they all pass Quit like the clouds today? They'll be there in your pretty dreams All full of colour and sense of things You blow breath of life in me I felt this way the night before You pulled me from this heavy floor You are my everything You are my everything |

I miss living in Spain and having the freedom of isolation. I want to sit back on the bench in the nice park near the uni and read spanish music magazines with difficulty because the sun is in my eyes. |

Hi Kelly Thanks for your email, below is some information about volunteering to be a runner at this years Jazz Festival. The dates for this year's Festival are 29 April - 5 May 2008, with volunteers probably arriving on the morning of the 30th and leaving on the afternoon of the 6th. We have a limited number of work experience places available to highly-motivated and enthusiastic students. This work experience is offered on a voluntary basis for the duration of the Festival. The working day is long but varied, and jobs can range from publicity work to stage management, helping in the press office to stacking chairs and front of house. We also run education and community projects with which you might be involved. We aim to give all our volunteers experience in all areas of the Festival's work, but it may also be possible to accommodate individuals with expertise in certain areas. If you are interested in event management, arts administration or backstage work, I really think this is a great way to get some top notch experience on your CV. In return for your hard work (and it is hard work!), we provide free accommodation (possibly in shared rooms), UK travel expenses and a contribution towards living expenses. And of course, the opportunity to get behind the scenes at a famous festival and a chance to see lots of good music for free! If you would like to apply to be a runner please send your CV and a covering letter by Friday 7th March. Interviews (by phone or in person, depending on your schedule and ours) will take place in the week beginning 10th March. Best wishes Phil |
